On March 3, the company held a press conference on the low-carbon development technology roadmap (hereinafter referred to as the “roadmap”) to release the company’s low-carbon development goals and “6 + 2″ low-carbon technology path to promote carbon neutrality at the peak of carbon dioxide emissions.
Since the “13th Five-Year Plan”, the company has thoroughly implemented the * * * * ecological civilization thought, earnestly implemented the new development concept, constantly strengthened the responsibility, took pollution control, layout optimization and green transformation as the primary political task and social responsibility, promoted the green, low-carbon and sustainable development of the enterprise, and achieved solid results.
According to the roadmap, the company’s low-carbon development will go through three stages, namely “the carbon dioxide emission peak platform period, steady decline period and deep decarbonization period”.By implementing six technology paths and building two management platforms, we will reduce peak carbon emissions by 10% by 2030% by 2030, and finally achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
The roadmap points out that achieving carbon neutrality with peak carbon dioxide emissions is an extensive and profound economic and social change, and the steel industry is an important basic industry of the national economy, an important support for building a modern country, and an important area for realizing green and low-carbon development.The CPC Central Committee and The State Council have issued the Opinions on Comprehensively and Accurately Implementing the New Development Concept for Peak Carbon Neutral of Carbon 2 Emission and the Action Plan for Peak Carbon 2 Emission by 2030, clarifying the timetable, roadmap and action plan for China’s peak carbon dioxide emissions.And the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, ecological environment issued “about promoting the development of steel industry quality guidance,” clear “difference” period of iron and steel industry development guiding ideology and basic principles, put forward to further promote green low carbon, carbon peak implementation of steel industry implementation plan, to ensure carbon dioxide emissions peak 2030 years ago.
