The nickel- chromium matrix of Inconel 625 Alloy Hot Rolled Plate has been reinforced by the addition of two elements i.e. - molybdenum and niobium. When the UNS N06625 Plate which has been alloyed with molybdenum and niobium through a solid solution strengthening process, it allows for the alloyed 2.4856 Inconel 625 Foil to maintain high tensile strength properties along with its toughness properties, even at temperatures ranging from cryogenic up to elevated temperatures as high as about 2000°F.

Inconel Alloy 625 Shim Sheet is non-magnetic in nature. This superalloy is considered to be an austenitic class of SB 443 UNS N06625 Sheet. The high content of nickel in UNS N06625 Inconel 625 Strip, this alloy is considered to be nearly immune to chloride ion stress related corrosion cracking as well as resistant to pitting, which is commonly found in Alloy 625 Plate that are used in applications that are marine based such as heat exchangers, fasteners, and cable sheathing. Apart from these characteristics, Nickel Alloy 625 Sheet displays high tensile strength, high creep rupture strength, good fabricability, as well as braze ability.
