The Hastelloy B3 UNS N010675 however has a superior thermal stability compared to the alloy B2. It has high corrosion resistance against reducing media. Alloy B-3 Plate is also resistant to knife lines. Alloy B-3 Plate can withstand the attack of most organic and inorganic media; it has better performance in reducing or non-oxidizing media. DIN 2.4600 material is produced in wires, fittings, pipes, bars, plates and sheets. It is used in different applications and is sold in different prices. We can provide with the full Hastelloy B3 price list upon contact. The Hastelloy B3 2.4600 Strip density is 9.22 grams per centimeter cube. There are different standards and pressure ratings for different products made from the material.

 

Problems associated with fabrication of alloy B-2 components should be minimized with alloy B-3 due to its improved thermal stability. A low carbon content permits Alloy B-3 Plate to be used in the as-welded condition. Hastelloy Coil has good overall forming and welding characteristics. This alloy can be forged or otherwise hot-worked, providing that it is held at 2250° F for a sufficient amount of time to bring the entire piece to temperature. Since ASTM B333 Hastelloy B-3 Plate is a low carbon alloy, the use of lower hot finishing temperatures may be necessary to achieve grain size control.
