Inconel 718 Plate, AMS 5596 Inconel 718 Plate, ASTM-B-670 Inconel 718 Plate, B50tf14 Class A&E Inconel 718 Plate, UNS N07718 Sheet.

Inconel 718 Sheet is made of a high-strength nickel base superalloy used for cryogenic temperatures up to long term service at 1200°F. Inconel 718 Plate is readily fabricated and may be welded in either the annealed or precipitation (age) hardened condition. Anneal 1700 -1850°F, air cool or faster. Age 1325°F 8 hours, furnace cool to hold at 1150°F, for a total aging time of 18 hours, air cool. AMS 5596 Inconel 718 Plate will show a contraction of 0.0008 inch/inch after precipitation hardening.

 

FABRICATION

The ease in which ASTM-B-670 Inconel 718 Plate can be fabricated offers significant benefits to the customer in terms of economy and performance. Inconel 718 Sheet provides a combination of high tensile, fatigue, rupture and creep strength making it an extremely versatile alloy. Alloy 718 Plate is used in applications ranging from simple fasteners to cryogenic tanks and rocket fuel cylinders.
