ASTM A479 309 Plate is the high alloy steel that is having high corrosion resistance as compared to the other steels because of the presence of a huge sum of chromium. Based upon the crystalline structure, SS is divided in ferritic, martensitic and austenitic steel. SS 309 Plate is having high corrosion resistance and strength as compared to other grades of SS alloy. Stainless Steel SUS 309 Hot Rolled Plate can be machined easily and can be easily welded through résistance welding method and fusion. It is hot worked at 2150 Deg F and can be faster quenched. Thus today the Stainless Steel 309 2B Finish Plate high in demand among the various industries.

ASTM A479 309 Plate is made of austenitic stainless steel which is commonly used for elevated temperature applications. Due to high chromium and nickel content provides comparable superior resistance to oxidation and corrosion resistance. Similar to 304,  ASME SA240 Stainless Steel 309 Plate can also be machined. By using the method of resistance and fusion, ASTM A240 SS 309 Plate can also be welded. For welding 347H stainless steel oxyacetylene welding is not recommended.
