Stainless Steel UNS S31609 plate sheet is a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material that has become increasingly popular for a wide range of applications. UNS S31609 is the austenitic stainless steel grade which is an ideal material for use in applications requiring superior corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical properties even at high temperatures.
The alloy composition of Austenitic 316H Stainless Steel Plate includes a relatively high percentage of molybdenum and nitrogen content providing good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking compared to other austenitic stainless steel grades.
Stainless Steel UNS S31609 Plate Sheet offers a higher yield strength compared to the typical 316 grade stainless steel. This enables 316H Stainless Steel Plate to handle more stress and higher pressure applications. It is also resistant to oxidizing environments, making it suitable for high-temperature applications.
