Monel K500, also referred to as Monel Alloy K500 Plate is an age hardened Nickel Copper based alloy. 2.4375 Monel K500 Shim Sheet is an alloy which combines the corrosion resistance properties of Alloy 400 with an increase in its properties, namely - high strength corrosion fatigue and erosion resistance. Monel Alloy K500 Plate could be further strengthened by performing a cold working procedure before the precipitation hardening process.Since the ASTM B127 is specification which covers rolled nickel- copper based Monel 400, it can be used in the manufacture of components such as plate, ASTM B127 Monel K500 Sheet, and strip.

The specified ASME SB 127 Monel K500 Sheet envelopes mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and Rockwell hardness along with its confirmation to the required grain size. Because of the ASME SB 127 Monel K500 Sheet higher tensile strength as compared to the parent alloy, the Alloy K500 Monel 2.4375 Cold Rolled Plate displays excellent mechanical properties across a broad spectrum of temperatures which would range from sub-zero temperatures and could go right up to about 480 C.
