316L Mod Grade stainless steel is a modified version of 316L, it is a 316L modified stainless steel with extra-low silicon content and substantial higher molybdenum contents. It also has higher nickel (13.5%), which make it wholly austenitic (less than 0.5% ferrite) to resist urea carbonate solutions. This alloy is designed for improved corrosion resistance properties in Urea carbonate environments.

316LMod stainless steel has good intergranular corrosion resistance, good welding performance, suitable for multi-layer welding, no knife-edge corrosion tendency after welding; it has good corrosion resistance to sulfurous acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, formic acid, chloride salt, halogen, and sulfite sex. It is often used as high-pressure pipeline material of petrochemical urea plant, lining, internal parts and corresponding pipelines of urea high-pressure equipment, etc. It can also be used to manufacture industrial equipment such as chemicals, fertilizers and chemical fibers.
