Hastelloy G-30 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy material. UNS N06030 Plate is an improved version of Hastelloy G3. UNS N06030 Plate has a higher chromium content, so W.NR 2.4603 Plate has corrosion resistance to oxidizing acids such as nitric acid and chloric acid. Hastelloy G-30 Plate has considerable copper and molybdenum content. It also has a certain resistance to reducing acids such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.

 

In particular, UNS N06030 Plate is worth mentioning that Hastelloy G30 has a high degree of resistance to "wet process" phosphoric acid. "Wet process" phosphoric acid (P 2 O 5) is made by phosphate rock and sulfuric acid reaction, which is an agrochemical fertilizer. The main source of phosphorus, Hastelloy G-30 Plate is widely used in the fertilizer manufacturing industry. HASTELLOY G-30 is harder than austenite and is basically similar to other alloys in terms of formability. W.NR 2.4603 Plate has good ductility and cold working is the preferred forming method. The alloy is usually welded using gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc, and shielded metal arc.
